Wainui Golf Club

2026 Golf Fore Life Charity Tournament is being held at Wainui Golf Club. Wainui Golf Club is the phoenix which arose out of the ashes of the Peninsula Golf Club, a Puddicome Golf designed championship layout with an iconic rural backdrop, rolling hills, and natural water ways.

We’re excited to share some changes to our 2026 charity tournament:
• Teams have changed from 3 to 4 players, you now get more bang for your buck;
• We’ve reduced the day’s runtime, swapping the evening meal for a delicious brunch, making the day more relaxed/social so you’ll return to your friends and family earlier;
• Carts for everyone, no need to book these; and
• Single person entries are now available to make joining us easier.

Golf Fore Life is an Ambrose tournament with teams competing in a shotgun start. It’s a fantastic day of fun, banter, and friendly competition.

Thank you for considering supporting Youth In Transition’s biggest fundraiser. The funds raised in February 2025 are already making a real difference for young people across the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast, and Rodney regions. We’re asking for your support for 2026 so we can give more young people the opportunity to Journey Back to Awesome.

About Youth in Transition and Why We Need Your Support

Youth In Transition’s journey began in 2014, in response to the growing number of young people suffering with anxiety and depression, and the unsettling fact that New Zealand has the highest rate of youth suicide in the OECD.

Our mission is to reduce youth suicide and to do this the Youth In Transition Trust has developed a unique programme called the “Journey Back to Awesome”, specifically aimed to address the needs of young people who are dealing with issues such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thinking. It is designed to equip them with the skills and resources to get through their struggles and transition into a life worth living.

A few years ago, the approach the Trust is taking was independently reviewed. The outcome, in short, is that this programme works and is hugely successful. We have helped 900 young people, whose lives would otherwise be diminished or wasted - and the demand for our services continues to grow. We have reached a point where we are having to turn so many young people away due to a lack of resources, which is extremely heart-breaking for us.

Thank you for considering supporting our fundraising event. If you'd like to get involved with Youth In Transition in other ways, please get in touch and/or sign up to our newsletter.
