Student Counsellor

Heather is currently studying for her Masters in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy at AUT. Heather is a trained secondary school teacher and has also worked with prisoners to help improve their literacy.

“Kia ora, my name is Heather.  I come from Scottish and Irish heritage - I was made in Scotland and born in Aotearoa NZ.  I live in Auckland and have two adult sons. I feel privileged to be a part of the Youth In Transition team and to have the opportunity to empower and support rangatahi to navigate themselves through the challenges they face, with compassion and care.”
