Kelly Forever-Young
We’re incredibly proud to share this powerful message from Kelly Forever-Young who is taking on a 24-hour challenge to raise funds for Youth In Transition.
On 27-28 September, Kelly will take on the 24-Hour Blue Lake Challenge - running (or moving!) around Rotorua’s Blue Lake for a full 24 hours to raise funds & awareness for YIT. Kelly’s goal is to go further than ever - physically, mentally & emotionally, to support our incredible charity.

Why Kelly’s doing the 24 Hour Challenge
I’ve faced some deep struggles with my mental health over the years - periods where I felt lost, stuck, and unsure if things would ever get better. But those challenges also helped shape who I am today. Now, I work as a mental skills and performance coach, helping others build the tools to navigate pressure, overwhelm, and self-doubt - because I’ve lived it myself.
This 24-hour challenge isn’t just about distance. It’s about pushing my own limits, leaning into discomfort, and reminding myself (and others) that we are capable of doing hard things. I want people to see that even when life feels heavy, with the right tools we can rise, we can grow, and we can take on things that once felt impossible.
If this inspires just one person to believe in their own strength, then every step will be worth it.
