MHAW - Share The Load

Belonging means knowing you’re not on your own. When a young person is struggling, the whole family can feel the pressure. Sometimes, knowing where to turn for help is the hardest part.

The Journey Back to Awesome programme helps young people and their families connect with community organisations that can provide additional support, guidance and practical assistance. Because strong support networks help people feel connected and remind families they don't have to carry everything alone.

YOUR MENTAL HEALTH TIP: Reach out and share the load.

  • Talk to someone you trust.

  • Ask for help when things feel overwhelming.

  • Connect with a community group or support service.

  • Set boundaries and give yourself permission to rest.

Reaching out isn't a weakness. It's a way of building connection and finding the support you need.

At Youth in Transition, we help young people and their families find the connections that support their journey back to awesome.
