Volunteer Mahi

Duke House is getting a spruce up, thanks to the mahi of our amazing volunteers.

There’s plenty happening around the property! Mike’s been tackling invasive weeds to help keep the bush thriving. Our clients are bringing colour to the new counselling room signs, adding their own personal touch. Peter’s picked up the paintbrush and is giving the barn, home to our group therapy and social groups, a fresh new look.

The barn mural is coming to life, with our clients’ creative talents bringing some local eels into the picture!

A huge thank you RCW Painting Services for generously donating the paint for both the counselling room signs and the barn. Your support is helping bring these projects to life!

At Duke House, every detail helps create a place of healing, connection and reprieve for the young people we support. And when our clients contribute to their surroundings, it helps make this place feel like their own.

Could you lend a hand?

We're looking for people who are happy to roll up their sleeves and help with gardening and general building maintenance. You don't need to be a professional, just willing to get stuck in and make a difference.

If you'd like to help us keep Duke House looking shipshape, we'd love to hear from you!

Email info@youthintransition.org.nz to get involved.

Every helping hand makes a difference. Together, we're creating a space where young people can feel safe, supported and able to focus on their journey back to awesome.
