June Working Bee
A very wet working bee… but still so much heart.
The rain came down, but so did the effort, the laughter, and the quiet determination to keep going at Duke House. This time our team of amazing volunteers:
Continued planting across the gardens, building on the ongoing transformation around the barn and sensory garden;
Cleaned the house windows until the light poured in again; and
Added more photos, helping the space feel even more lived in, warm, and loved.
Duke House is never “finished.” It is a living space that needs constant care, attention, and hands that are willing to show up again and again. And the truth is - this space only exists the way it does because people keep turning up. Rain, hail or shine. Tired or energised. In sunshine or in downpours. That steady presence is what allows us to keep the doors open and offer a place of safety, connection, and belonging for the young people who need it most
To everyone who showed up in the rain - thank you!
