This week, we pause to celebrate and honour the incredible individuals who generously give their time, heart and energy to Youth In Transition.

Despite the soggy ground underfoot our June Working Bee went ahead as planned. A huge thanks to Central Landscape Supplies, Bunnings, Woolworths and our friends from Spark That Chat.

Our second Youth Week activity took us to Auckland Zoo, and what a wonderful morning it was for our group!

Our first event for Youth Week 2025! We’re thrilled to welcome back the team from Imagen8 - Nurturing A Love For Nature to Duke House for another inspiring photography course.

What a Morning! We kicked off May with a hugely productive working bee. Our loyal Duke House team were out in full force tackling everything with gusto.

A group of our young people joined us at Duke House for a wholesome, hands-on experience making their own pizzas, from scratch!

Thanks Anna for a fantastic evening! We shared a meal, and Anna shared her powerful and deeply inspiring journey.

We had the privilege of welcoming Barry Taylor back for Day 2 of his Suicide Prevention Training. We were thrilled to be joined by some friends from our community.

Tina was truly delighted to attend the Gulf Harbour Rebus meeting and receive these beautiful hand-knitted blankets.

We had a visit from Sian Stimson who dropped in some yummy Anzac slices, baked by her son, Ben!

We’re thrilled to have Leigh Patuawa from Soul Learning join us at Duke House. Leigh’s an extraordinary individual and educator.

A massive shoutout to our wonderful friends from Silverdale Church, along with a few of our own Youth In Transition friends, who came out on Sunday morning for a working bee!

We are so grateful to Jackie and Mike from Just Cabins New Zealand – Rodney for their incredible support in helping us create a beautiful new therapy space at Duke House.

Art Group at Duke House this week was something really special! Carly from Scent Collective joined us for a beautiful evening of candle-making and affirmation label printing with a group of young people and counsellors.

We had the pleasure of welcoming 40 members from the Orewa Garden Club out to Duke House! It was a fantastic afternoon sharing updates, enjoying lunch and then meandering around the gardens.

A sincere thank you to the Tree Solutions Tree Management Services Ltd team for their amazing work at Duke House today!

Thanks to Charlie and Rhiannon for sharing their knowledge about our incredible native wildlife and the impact of pests on their survival.

Today we hosted our March working bee and were honoured to welcome Rod Duke, his family, and his foundation team to Duke House.
